Over the past 15 years, Brett has helped build one of the UK’s leading independent marketing agencies. He has three areas of responsibility within the business: developing high performing client solutions, delivering a great team working environment and keeping an eye on what’s coming next, thus ensuring that LAW stays both relevant and useful in an ever-changing world. A keynote speaker at various industry events, Brett is driven by a desire to offer LAW’s current and future clients creativity, value, speed and flexibility.

Alan McCulloch

Managing Director

Following a successful career in advertising (creative and media), which included building the digital operations of the some of the world’s largest agencies, including Saatchi and Saatchi, Grey Advertising and McCann, Alan held the position as Chairman of the IPA Digital Committee for three years where his white paper ‘How The West Was Won’ was instrumental in brokering the model for trading digital media between advertising, publishers, and agencies.

After a period building offshore creative delivery as Chief Digital Officer for Ninestars and 2adpro in India, he returned to the UK as ESET’s Marketing Director.

Alan joined Selbey Anderson in 2022 and is focussed on guiding and advising clients on digital business transformation..

Josh’s marketing career spans 22 years, 15 of which have been spent at LAW. Born into an advertising family, communication has always been in his blood. Today, his passion is seeing how creativity can affect change and drive positive action. A strategic marketing thinker, Josh looks at the bigger picture... at what makes brands work. He is a decision maker who doesn’t just get things done but gets them done better. Heading up the agency’s client team, Josh has delivered successful pitch wins plus the growth of key accounts and client relationships too.

CREATIVE DIRECTOR
With 32 years’ industry experience behind him, Matt is a highly experienced Creative Director. Part of the LAW team since 2011, Matt uses his background as a storyboard artist to create compelling visuals along with new ways to develop ideas. A storyteller at heart, Matt excels at scriptwriting and directing and has been the proud recipient of several awards for his films for ZF. Using empathy to see things from the clients’ perspective, Matt aligns creativity with commercial sensitivity and thinks differently to give LAW’s clients a standout advantage in an often crowded market.

With 23 years’ experience (four and a half of which have been spent at LAW) Luke is a problem solver who uses creative thinking to deliver results. Always striving to keep up with the latest digital marketing trends and technologies, Luke is a trusted advisor across the ZF and TRW accounts and a true enabler of client success, and is driven to constantly deliver outstanding, award-winning projects.

HEAD OF DIGITAL
As Head of Digital, Jacques’ focus is on continually evolving by learning... and by doing so, ensuring the agency stays at the forefront of innovation and creativity. A key part of the team for more than seven years, Jacques enjoys coming up with solutions and lists self-awareness as one of his core strengths. His biggest career achievement to date: taking the helm of LAW’s digital team as Head of Digital and assuming responsibility over the growth and expertise of the agency’s digital presence.

A copywriter for over 25 years, Dave joined LAW in 2018 and has been Head of Copy since 2021. A multiple award-winning writer and thinker, Dave has helped numerous brands define their identity and find their unique voice and is driven to elevate the agency’s copywriting capabilities to new levels of excellence. From press and poster to social... film and radio to digital, Dave makes words work across LAW’s broad roster of clients and marries a wealth of industry knowledge with the desire to keep learning.
